Liv Grete Poiree said that this season was over, after a bad start in the WCH.
All Norwegian journalists was called to attend a press-conference today at 10.15
On the press-conference Liv Grete said that she’ll withdraw form the WCH, and ends the season.
The decision was made yeaterday together with her coach Odd Lirhus and her doctor Lars Kolsud.
-There was never any disagreement about the decision, said Odd Lirhus who are now going to pick a relay-team without Liv Grete, something that has never happened during her time on the Norwegian national team.
The WCH-queen from last year (four golden medals) has been bothered by a virus during most of this winter, and this season has been far away from what she was hoping. After a very disappointing 37th on Saturday’s sprint, she didn’t start at the individual on Tuesday.
On the press-conference she took the decision with a smile.
-There's no use in crying. I’ll rather look forward to the Olympics in Torino, and there I’ll be in my best shape, said Liv Grete Poiree.
